Go Beyond Beauty with the Fife Lake Historical Society and Kurt Kipfmueller. Professor Kipfmueller utilizes the stories contained to the annual rings of trees to better understand and document long-term forest changes across the Upper Great Lakes Region. This presentation will highlight the history of fire us in the Fife Lake region and explain how tree rings can be used to provide better understanding or fire, forest changes, and cultural history. Kurt's Family has a summer home in Fife Lake, which he has visited for 50+ years.
