Speaker: Kurt Kipfmueller
Professor Kipfmueller utilizes the stories contained in the annual rings of tree to better understand and document long-term forest changes across the Upper Great lakes Region. this presentation will highlight the history of fire use in the Fie Lake region and explain how tree rings can be used to provide a better understanding of fire, forest change and cultural history. Professor Kipfmueller's family has a summer home in Fife Laske, which he has visited for 50+ years.
